Fr Laurie Timms OCarm, parish priest of Coorparoo, in the Archdiocese of Brisbane, is a qualified diesel rail motor driver.

From 1996 to 2004, he spent his days off driving the Zig-Zag Tourist Railway in the NSW Blue Mountains, and is seen behind the wheel at different times of the year.
