Gerard Joseph Fitzgerald
January 1932 – 6th April 2010

Gerard died at Corpus Christi Aged-Care Facility, Clayton, Victoria.

He was ordained a priest at All Hallows College, Dublin, Ireland, on 14 June 1959. After serving as assistant priest at the parishes of West Preston, Castlemaine, Coburg, Frankston, Bell Park, St Kilda East and Newport, Gerard was appointed parish priest of Laverton and then South Caulfield. He was appointed Pastor Emeritus on his retirement from South Caulfield in 2006.

Gerard served the Church in a very positive and pastorally enriching manner, giving fine example to both his brother priests and the community for more than 50 years.
