Project Survival
The Catholic Church in Australia faces many challenges both from within and without. The greatest challenge is to maintain and also create (recreate) vibrant Parish Communities. But a Parish Community loses its cohesion and vitality when it is not based around the communal celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Where opportunities for Eucharistic celebration are diminished there is a consequent diminution of spiritual vitality. Total deprivation leads to the death of a faith community.
